"Roman Catholics and Jews after Vatican II. Taking Stock for the Future"

On March 1 and 2, a workshop on "Roman Catholics and Jews after Vatican II. Taking Stock for the Future" was held in Rome organised by the John-Paul II Center for Interreligious Studies and the Angelicum Institute for Ecumenical Studies.

Participating in the proceedings were Prof. Adam Afterman (Jerusalem), Prof. Karma Ben-Johanan (Jerusalem), Rabbi Dr. Eugene Korn (Jerusalem), Rabbi Prof. Ruth Langer (Boston), Rabbi Prof. Menahem Loberbaum (Tel Aviv) and Rabbi Prof. David Meyer (Paris).

Speaking on the Catholic side were Dr. Emil Anton (Helsinki), Prof. Gavin D'Costa (Angelicum/Bristol), Rev. Prof. Hyacinthe Destivelle (Angelicum/DPUC), Rev. Dr. Christian Rutishauser (Munich) and Dr. Matthew Tapie (Saint Leo, USA).

On 1 March, Fr. Destivelle gave a presentation on the theme "John Paul II and the Jewish People". On the same day, a public event on "Reflecting on the future: Jews and Catholics" was held in the Aula Minor with the participation of Prof. Ben-Johanan and Prof. D'Costa.
