Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2015

Jesus said to [the Samaritan woman]: “Give me to drink” (John 4:7)

On January 27, 2015, at 4:00 p.m., a Prayer Service for  Christian unity was held at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center (6 bis Ton Duc Thang, P. Ben Nghe, 1st Distr., Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).

Many priests and pastors who have been collaborating with the Pastoral Center attended the Prayer Service. Number of distinguished guests from Japan and Korea joined the service in the presence of Cardinal John Baptist Pham Minh Man, archbishop emeritus of Ho Chi Minh city.

The service themed in sharing, love, family, happiness, and especially human experiences of God. One of the pastors shared the miserable story of his life, and how had he survived the this hardship.

Another member shared the story of God from the Exodus through the incarnation of Jesus Christ which he convinced the congregation that we need to have faith in God, we need to put in our mind and heart the Divine words in the Bible, not only in reading it but also believe what inside of it.

Cardinal Pham Minh Man also gave a word of wisdom. He talked about the “common source of water”: the Word of God brings truth, love and peace to our world. “You need to give more respect and value your family because this is the most important thing in our life: The family is the foundation of our nation,” said the Cardinal.

The service was successfully organized in the light of the Words and faithful stories of many testimonies..
