On the occasion of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18-25 January 2015), the Administration Group of Website nhipcautamgiao.net would like to highlight some ecumenical activities in the year 2014..

 

January

 

1.  On January 21, 2014, there was an Ecumenical Prayer for World Peace at the Pastoral Center of the Archdiocese ofSaigon.  Cardinal Jean Baptiste Pham Minh Man gave a talk to the pastors and  attendees at the end of the meeting.

February

 

2.  Upon the invitation of Professor Rick Bible, (7) seven members of the Interreligious Dialogue Committee attended the worship and fellowship of the Pentecostal congregation inVietnam Elisha Associations at No. 527 / 54 Phan Van Tri, Ward 5, Go Vap District,Ho Chi Minh City on February 23, 2014 in the morning.

 

April

 

3.  On April 26, 2014, the delegation of Catholic priests from the Pastoral Center of the Hochiminh City Archdiocese headed by the Pastoral Center’s Director. Fr. Peter Nguyen Van Hien, had attended the holy music and preaching of Pastor Ted Wilson, the Secretary General, at theAdventistChurch, Phu Nhuan District.

4.  On Friday afternoon of May 9, 2014, Tran Thanh Truyen, pastor of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Phu Nhuan district, along with Professor Garth K.Hibbert, Coordinator for Asia Pacific International University, have visited the Office of the Interreligious Dialogue Committee at 6 bis Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1.

 

5.  On September 29, 2014, the Orthodox delegation led by Fr. Rewais Elmoharaky, an Orthodox priest visited Cardinal Jean Baptiste Pham Minh Man at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center.

 

November

 

6.  On November 23, 2014, Father Francis Xavier Bao Loc, Chair of the Inter-Faith Dialogue Commission of the Archdiocese of Saigon has visited and had a talk with Pastor Huy Hoang and Pastor Le Minh Dat, both Pastors of the Evangelical Church in Hanoi City at Gate Station No. 2, Hang Bong Street, Hoan Kiem , Hanoi.

 

 December

 

7. In the morning of December 17, 2014, a volunteer group of the Orthodox Coptic Church from Egypt which comprises of two pharmacists, a bank employee and an auditor paid a visit to Archbishop Phaolo Bui Van Doc at his residence. The delegation visited several charitable institutions with the hope of extending assistance.

8.  On December 28, 2014, the Protestant United Gospel Outreach Church of Vietnam held a Christmas concert at the Pastoral Center grounds in the evening. It was attended by nearly 3,000 spectators.
