Coordinating Committee of the International Catholic-Orthodox DialogueThe Coordinating Committee of the Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church met from 16-20 May 2022 in Rethymno (Greece), co-chaired by Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, and Archbishop Job of Telmessos, of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

As stated in its communiqué, the Committee completed the revision of the draft text entitled, “Primacy and Synodality in the Second Millennium and Today” to be presented to a Plenary Session of the Joint International Commission, expected to take place in 2023.

The last meeting of the Coordinating committee took place in November 2019 at the Monastery of Bose (Italy).

The last document of the Commission was adopted in September 2016 in Chieti, entitled “Synodality and Primacy during the First Millennium: Towards a Common Understanding in Service to the Unity of the Church”.
