and wishes for the New Year 2014 to all the people of God in the Archdiocese

To our dear priests, religious and laity of the diocesan family:

 

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

 

Christmas 2013 and New Year 2014 is the Year of Evangelization-Renewal of the Family.  My sincere wishes go to all the brothers, sisters, friends and relatives of the family. I wish you a Blessed Christmas and a New Year of peace and well being.

 

With this prayer, I also pray that all families will be happy and live a holy life as the Holy Family of Nazareth:

 

O God the Father of compassionate kindness,

You are the source of every family on earth,

We thank you Father for you have given mercy on the human family,

Excellent example is the Holy Family.

 

Father, bless every evangelized family

To bring the light of the Good News - our Saviour,

As the light of Truth, Love and Peace in all areas of family life.

 

The Family became the cradle of life,

Shelter of love, tolerance and unity,

Education at school should be good and useful,

It is a stronghold that protects the dignity of every person.

 

For all the plans and labour of husband and wife

That brings peace and happiness to the family,

Young people must go and see where grandparents and parents toil;

They are sources of support for the development of human dignity.

 

May the Holy Family be the centre of each household and bless them

With unwavering faith and love amidst arduous challenges

And proclaim Jesus Christ as the new source of life for all families, now and forever.  Amen
