On sharing religious life of Caodai postulants from the Organ for Universalizing Caodai Teaching

08 May 2014, in the morning, as invited by Institute of the Lovers of the Holy Cross, a group of Caodai postulants from the Organ for Universalizing Caodai Teaching came and shared some understanding about the life and journey of those who dedicate themselves to Caodai God. The group’s leader was Sister Kim Dung, a Caodai priest.

After nearly forty-five minutes listening to the Caodaists’ training and their method of self-cultivation named Tam Công (the Three Practices, including: Công quả / unselfish service; Công trình / rectifying oneself; Công phu / meditation), the Institute’s female students raised some questions related to Caodai religious life as well as the “challenge” of keeping the vow to Caodai Supreme Being.

The limited time did not allow all questions to be satisfactorily dealt with. A representative for the Institute’s Third Year Class of Theology thanked Sister Kim Dung and her four companions. A souvenir of the Institue was also offered to Caodai sisters.

Sister Kim Dung expected to have another chance to exchange the mutual understanding between the two faiths, developing the “Dao heart” of all.

A short meeting left a friendly and unforgetable impression in the souls of the both parties, who have been on their journey of dedication to God as well as to humans.

Before saying good-bye, they all wholeheartedly sang: “Where love is, there God is. Where mercy is, there grace is…”
