Some people give up on repentance – in frustration. They commit a sin and repent for it so many times that they feel their repentance is not worth anything. How can they be truly penitent when they return to their sinful ways over and over and over again? Such people are hard to convince to repent again, and often harder to convince that they should try to kick their sinful habits.

They are the framework of the Muslim life: faith, prayer, concern for the needy, self-purification, and the pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able.
