A mosque is raising money to support victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.Noor-ul-Islam mosque in Leyton High Road will be collecting donations at Friday prayers


At Friday prayers on November 22 Noor-ul-Islam mosque in Leyton High Road is acting as a collection point for the Islamic Relief charity.


The charity is supporting the Philippines typhoon appeal, launched by the Disasters Emergency Committee.


Money raised will help deliver food packs and clear water to communities in northern Cebu in the eastern part of the country.


Islamic Relief’s UK director Jehangir Malik said: “We are grateful to the growing number of mosques who are taking the lead in bringing this cause to the attention of Muslims across the UK.”
