Cardinal Jean-Baptiste Phạm Minh Mẫn, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, passed away on March 22, 2026. On this solemn occasion of mourning for the Catholic Church, respected Religious Leaders and Representatives of various faiths traditions paid their respects before the casket, sent letters of condolence, and offered prayers for the late Cardinal.
The Archdiocesan Curia of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City would like to express its heartfelt gratitude for your profound and sacred communion.
The late Cardinal tirelessly built bridges of communion and friendship among followers of different religions, with the purpose of serving society and the integral development of the human person.
Your supportive presence and solidarity during this great loss for the Catholic community manifested the fraternal spirit among religious leaders, and served as a profound source of consolation to our Archdiocese as well as to the family of the late Cardinal.
