The Visit of the Adventist Church’s representative at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre

In the afternoon of September 5, 2014, Mr.Tran Thanh Truyen, the Pastor  of Phu Nhuan Adventist Church came to the Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre with Professor Garth K. Hibbert, Coordinator of Asia Pacific International University to visit the Inter-faith dialogue Commission of the Archdiocese of Saigon.

A lively exchange of personal concerns transpired at the Inter-faith Dialogue Commission office. Pastor Tran Thanh Truyen then presented to Fr. Francis Xavier Bao Loc, Chair of the Commission, the spiritual books of the Seventh-day Adventist Church which were recently published. In response, Fr. Francis gave also the Catholic Catechism books to him for those who are seeking God in their life.

A short tour at the Pastoral Centre followed.  Fr. Francis took the opportunity to introduce to them the Vision and Mission of the Centre as well as its different pastoral programs and facilities that the Centre offers.

Professor Garth K. Hibbert wanted to know more about the laity’s training programs at the Pastoral Institute. He seemed interested in the program and thus Fr. Francis Xavier Bao Loc invited him to teach English language at the Institute.

Their one-hour encounter as believers of Christ buds forth Christian Brotherhood.
